Week 3 Summary

This week was a very rough week for me. I have been driving between Richmond and Fredericksburg all week so completing my classwork was a struggle. So I had to work on a little bit at a time this week and complete finishing touches tonight. This week I completed four daily creates

  1. Photo representation of my life
  2. Modification of a new photo to make it look old
  3. Momentum Limerick
  4. Artistic Statement

I also completed two DS106 Audio Assignments and my very first foley! The DS106 audio assignments were cool. First I created my own ringtone then I created a panel reflection parody interview. The ringtone was a bit of a challenge because I had to actually come up with an idea. The final product turned out to be a mix of a doorbell ringing and a dog barking. The parody of a DS106 reflection was very inspirational for me. I had a lot of fun brainstorming with my family and answering the interview questions. I told my family to make up questions and ask me in one take. And we did it! It took us a few tries to get out all of the giggles but it was very fun.

The DS106 parody reflection was inspirational because it gave me a cool idea for an audio assignment for a project later in the course. I dont want to give too many details but it is very very funny :).

Now for my first foley. That was very funny and I laughed alot once it was over. It was so cool to do all of that in thirty seconds.

To sum up my week, I can only use a photo

chaos lol

    Hi Jasmine!
I can definitely understand what you’re going through. My internship is at Richmond and I work full-time in Stafford. The commute is long and the week can fly right by you in the blink of an eye. Good luck with everything though!
By the way, the cartoon post you uploaded was hilarious. Sometimes, I feel that way with all the chaos going on.

I like the pictures you took. They are so unposed and real life. Its hard to catch people when they are just in their natural state and not posing or smiling for the camera. Your dog and family member seem very important to you. Also, do not stress too much, you are doing well.

I think everyone can relate to your cartoon.
